Dose management system.
Following the adoption in Italy of the European Directive 2013/59/EURATOM of December 5, 2013 (Legislative Decree No. 101 of July 31, 2020) concerning safety related to protection against the dangers arising from exposure to ionizing radiation, the need to justify medical exposures and to increase the information provided to patients, and to record, archive and communicate doses, has emerged.
In this regulatory landscape, iTA Dose has been developed, a web application that interfaces with radiological equipment and PACS and allows for the collection, monitoring, archiving, and exporting of patient doses administered during major diagnostic exams such as CT, Mammography, Tomosynthesis Mammography, traditional X-rays, and Angiography.
The application ensures compliance with the aforementioned European Directive.
